I guess this is where it all starts then, My blog that is

Whilst I’ve been very active online for a number of years now I’ve never actually got around to writing my own blog.

So why start now ?  you may ask…
Well I do use alot of web forums and some social network sites both for ‘business’ and for recreation purposes, so I already communiate alot on the internet.
It seemed natural that the only thing missing was a blog of my own. After all everyone else seems to have one

Why a blog on affiliate marketing?

Well I have been working in the affiliate marketing industry for around 8 years now, allbeit at a relatively small level compared to some of the other guys I have come across over the years.

I’m the first to admit I’m a long way off to making my first million, however I’ve made enough to earn a respectable second income. ( My main job is a boat builder BTW )

Some people may say I haven’t come a long way in 8 years – Well maybe not but I’ve only put in few hours each night and for me its not just the money but the love of the ‘job’. 
 
Affiliate marketing can be very rewarding in a number of ways, I have gained alot of experience from other affiliate marketers over the years and they have certainly played a big part in what I do and have helped keep me on the right track.

I read quite a few AF blogs from other people across the globe and have gained alot of knowledge and inspiration from what they have written.

Whilst I’m not an expert in any particular field, I hope my blog will be of interest to anyone who is relatively new to affiliate marketing or is thinking of starting promoting online themselves for the first time.

I intend to start from the very beginning ( I haven’t seen anyone else actually do this yet )
My hope is that anyone new to the industry will be able to gain from my experience and I can give a few tips of my own and help you avoid the mistakes I made when I first started.

Hopefully I’ll get a few subscribers along the way so I won’t feel like an idiot talking to myself
